My names is Ontara Nickerson, I am the Director of Good Shepherd Christian Academy. I am a wife and a mother of three. I have been the Director for over five years and in the profession of Early Childhood Education nearing thirteen years. During my career, I have worked in both Arlington and Fort Worth.
As Director, I take great pride in knowing that our facility is one that strives for excellence and quality in childcare while promoting our cooperative spirit. We have a wonderful complement of staff who are dedicated and truly amazing at what they do.
Part of my role is to keep abreast and advocate for the Early Childhood profession. I am currently involved in various early childcare organizations including Texas Rising Star, Director Institute, Camp Fire, Educational First Steps, TAEYC, Texas School Ready, and Directors Collaboration as well as various planning committees for conferences. Being a part of these professional networks allow me the opportunity to share information with our staff and build knowledge.
